Quote Of the Moment

"A neo-conservative is...someone who watches the Matrix and thinks it's real."

-Lewis Black

What a coincidence. I just watched the Matrix last night.

I really feel that the movie has one of the best story lines in the last 7 years. It is generic in it’s allegorical composition and profoundly poignant in it's verisimilitude. If we do away with the idea of having outlets in the back of our heads and all over our bodies, the concept that we are beyond control is not so far-fetched.

The quote (it was a joke in his stand up routine. I reccomend watching "Lewis Black: Screwed." It's hilarious) is mostly concerning the Neoconservative approach to domestic issues (read: assimilation).

The joke aspect of the quote I understood. I was merely stating that it was a coincidence given the I had just watched the movie.

I saw homeboy when he was up in Williamstown (summer of '04) and he hosted the caberet performance at the Theatre Festival. I was impressed to say the least.
